Developed in conjunction with the Imperial War Museum in London, the brand new Medal Making Kit is an interactive combination of creativity and history. With facts, figures and fascinating true-life stories of heroism provided by the museum’s historians, you can design medals for family and friends, and create historically-accurate medals based on the Victoria Cross, the George Cross, the British War Medal 1914-1920 and the 1939-1945 Star. Learn about 11 year old Doreen Ashburnham who fought off a mountain lion with her bare hands and flying ace Major Edward Mannock who shot down more than 70 enemy aircraft. The kit contains everything needed to make 12 medals including metallic card templates, ribbon, pins and sequins.
